304745508_a7050449a2 After Glow

I’d like the memory of me

to be a happy one.

I’d like to leave an afterglow

of smiles when life is done.

I’d like to leave an echo

whispering softly down the ways,

Of happy times and laughing times

and bright and sunny days.

I’d like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun,

Of happy memories that I leave

when life is done.

You were the best, most loyal, and loving friend that anyone could have asked for. You will be in my heart for the rest of my life.

Happy Place

1361751117_feb50bf2fd "The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quiet, alone with the heavens, nature and God. Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be and that God wishes to see people happy, amidst the simple beauty of nature." Anne Frank

Pride

Pride Seattle Gay pride 2006

"Walking heads up high in the air,
Hand in hand with the one you love.
Colours filling the street,
People dressed to the extreme,
Leather, cowboy, fairies and sailor boys’
Being who you want to be.
Having no cares in the world,
Able to walk the street without fear,
The day is pride…"

And This City Will Fall Like Ashes

"City lights are screaming, where sorrow falls like snow.
Those flakes don’t melt, but burn instead.
Falling in the eyes of loved ones.. astigmatism calling place, for they can only see the light.
And compared to the axiom, luminosity, like city hall, will rule, even as this city falls…"

"I can taste the tin of the sky — the real tin thing.
Winter dawn is the color of metal,
The trees stiffen into place like burnt nerves.
All night I have dreamed of destruction, annihilations —
An assembly-line of cut throats, and you and I
Inching off in the gray Chevrolet, drinking the green
Poison of stilled lawns, the little clapboard gravestones,
Noiseless, on rubber wheels, on the way to the sea resort…"

453543397_0f2e5cf31c_3I have been horridly remiss in posting pictures. Horridly.

All the same check out my most favorite picture taken on my recent Vegas trip. There really is nothing like watching the sun go down on the patio of a most classy hotel (the most expensive to build thus far in Vegas) while being privy to the wonders of modern digital entertainment.

Though we did not stay in the Wynn, we spent a great deal of time their with new friends.

I was never able to replicate this particular hair color. A little part of me is disappointed about that more frequently than it should be.

Same poster as entry from 2/3/07. At first I thought the flash in the middle was sort of obnoxious but then it grew on me (although it might not grow on you).
